Rangers! Did it look good? Not a banger, but not bad. Some WEIRD typography, two-button collar, overly thick pants stripes. Fun, if not good. Did it make sense? Sure. Texas has blue skies. Should they RETVRN? Nah, but they're better than the current light blue set.
Other than the weirdness of the “x” I love that font. First photo is the legendary Dock Ellis (of the famous LSD no hitter). Also the third picture is Buddy Bell, and the kid is probably one of his sons who would also play in the majors.
The font (or a variation of it) works a lot better on the home jersey. It has a funky drop shadow that goes straight downward instead of to the left or right, and it is brilliantly "of the time."
