Vetinari had a fun view on democracy.
At this point I'd vote for him.
I mean, he wanted what was best for his people, intended to build a city that actually worked for everyone on every level, embraced all kinds of people as part of the melting pot (except mimes), got crime under control by recognising it as a service problem,
sponsored the invention of a modern monetary system which immediately boosted the economy for everyone and two different transport systems that elevated the common citizenry, leapt on the chance to reform the city's thuggish police force into an actual service for protecting the citizenry,
made massive inroads in international outreach, and his personal moral position is basically "the Creator made a horrible world where everyone is suffering, so it's our duty to make it a better one". I'd bloody well vote for Lord V. any day.
"one man, one vote"! he's The Man so he has The Vote & he refers to democracy as a "vote-yourself-rich scheme", presumably for sufficiently specific values of "yourself"
