I think you can get tannerite at the store, if you wanted to save your shoulder. Might have bigger problems then, but the root would be gone.

At the old place we had problems with some weed trees. My disability made digging roots out a no go. Found that hammering a short piece of copper pipe into the trunk and pouring in 10mL of conc sulphuric worked. 😁
