I'm just gobsmacked she's admitting all this. You're an AP and you aren't embarrassed that your family wasn't good enough to raise your grandchild in? It's just more proof adoption has fuck all to do with child safety.

"During which time, I may or may not have operated a state funded sleep away-camp of my own." 😬 😮 🥚 Like what???
Yep, I can see why the girl "chose" relinquishment and it breaks my heart for her. I also doubt the now-adult adoptee spends much time with them. Generally, bio families tend to overstate the relationships they have with returning adoptees. A card twice a year is "she's part of the family now!" 🥚
Plus, there’s a reason adoptees go looking. It’s because there are holes to fill that being given away created.
I think she's used to receiving praise for selfless acts of saviourism. Probably very surprised to find her usual shtick didn't land with adoptees. Adopting after the adoptee aged out of state funded care is very telling. 🥚
As is her relinquishing a child while in FC. Wonder if there were "living expenses" involved in that.
Did she confirm which daughter relinquished the baby? It wasn't clear to me if it was the foster daughter or the bio daughter. Both are a yikes and a critique of her character but for different reasons.
Oh, and she would be describing the child as her granddaughter if she was bio.
She confirmed bio daughter (who is younger than foster/adoptee daughter) relinquished firstborn in high school. Imagine choosing to relinquish when your mom, who you live with, is a foster parent to other kids? Something was seriously wrong in that home.
Assuming it's the adoptee because someone like her would likely press a bio daughter in HS to get an abortion over giving away a grandchild or being a teen mom.
