On an *entirely* biased level, I'm not the biggest fan of Umbric's outfit changing to match Alleria's color scheme. It's just so weird that they're just using the High Elf color scheme again lol, and unfortunately doesn't give me much hope for Vereesa to play a meaningful role.
Poor Umbric. I may not be a velf fan, but he deserves an updated, unique model.

Umbric not getting an unique model is a travesty & Vereesa being sidelined feels odd, all things considered.
The actual outfit shapes itself for Umbric are very nice, at least, but I'll miss the purple and gold from their BfA/DF outfits. That felt much more fitting of them being former blood elves and much more striking, and stood in contrast to Alleria's lone wolf, high elven origins.
Heritage armor continues to feel weird
Man I went into this patch ready to capitalize on the tiersets with clear Void Elf aesthetics and now you're telling me their racial color combo has now been changed entirely
Yeah that feels weird as the Velves felt like they were becoming a more "dark elf" like faction visually with that heritage armour the many sharp edges and spikes in their designs. It was a further corruption of the Thalassian theming and it worked great

I loove it personally, just from a visual story telling aspect. Him matching Alleria I think says a lot, sort of rounds you back to the beginning of the pre-patch where he defends her to their riftwalker's questions -- Shows they're aligned still. Also love the futuristic sleek space aesthetic.
I very much feel the opposite about that haha, I was happy to see Umbric finally getting his own visual identity and beginning to be his own leader, instead of just "the less iconic void elf because we need one with a player model". Now it feels like he's back to playing second fiddle.
I hear you & that's so fair. I honestly have been desperate for her to reassert herself back as a proper guide/lead to the Ren'dorei. I prefer the direction of that. Her standing w/ us in Telogrus once you finished your little Ren'dorei introduction was always something I loved.
Plus anytime Blizzard using visuals meaningfully to tell a story, just happy to see it! I know in this instance it sort of takes away from High Elf colors as you noted, which is valid. Sorry, but it's a good aesthetic. 😅
