With An'shuul from Dragonflight, it's specified that it is *in* the Void, and now this new trinket from Dimensius has something similar, all with the same naming convention as An'she. Those are obviously very different names from K'aresh's though: and An'she isn't *just* a sun.
An'she is the sun *god* of the tauren, their source of magical Light as much as literal, and the names are just a *bit* similar enough to naaru to imply a Light connection. In short: I think Dimensius consumed a bunch of solar Light deities in the past, and that's super cool.
And hey, who knows what it'll mean as we head into the *Midnight* expansion, with all of Dimensius' power now in the hands of Xal'atath. The cinematic opens with the setting sun, and she's had those eclipse eyes this whole time, after all.
An'shuul was def slurped up by Dimensius. According to WoWhead, that trinket actually procs 3 different meteors. An'zuq, An'xoth, and An'shuul.
And she is going for the SUNwell, so... Crack theory: What if Naaru are formed in the interior of suns/stars, the same way Titans are birthed from planets? When certain stars would become white dwarfs, they instead awaken as Naaru... 🤔
It would be cool if it’s the void mirror of An’she or something along those lines. I do hope they’re not gonna villain bat a Tauren god or something
The Void Storm definitely looks like a blackened sun as well, with the it stands in the skies devouring the light and spreading darkness as it rains voidwalkers
Interesting theory. It also works well with the Tauren myth of An'she being wounded by the void. Perhaps solar dieties are always the first target of the void due to their contrasting nature. Hopefully this means they might draw upon that and actually acknowledge An'she in game going forward.
