As long as a paid holiday and paid time off work to vote are included (or generous absentee ballot provisions), as well as provisions like showing up to sign your name on the ballot if you wish to vote for no one.

Our elections are always on a Saturday but there are provisions for early voting and postal voting. But yes if you work on a Saturday, your employer has to give you time off to go vote. The system is not perfect but infinitely better than the broken US system.
