How am I wrong?? Look what happened. Hoffman is a closer, not a “let’s see if we can get to the next inning” guy. It’s a horrid managerial decision. Would you put Mario Rivera in top of nine in a tie game???

Yes, I would put Mariano or Trevor Hoffman or Lee Smith in the top of the ninth at home with the game tied. Anyways, I think I’ve given you a sufficient amount of my time. You can continue to be wrong in your own dime.

You know how many times Rivera was put into a tie game??? Ten percent of his games tossed. Same with Smith. It’s a fools move to when you have other arms in the pen.

I really don’t know. I can’t think of a playoff team who needs a utility guy…but maybe someone after rosters expand will have a spot. He can still play for the Pirates until someone claims him though, which is weird.
