The fucking sniper rifle mounted on the tripod on top of the armored vehicle was peak cosplay/larp bullshit. Yeah, that's where you want your sniper to set up: in the most visible/exposed position possible. They are clowns. If it weren't for the real fascism, it would be truly hilarious.
You nailed it! Every sniper I knew loved being exposed and first in the breach.
The only thing that would have made it more ridiculous would have been to have him standing up there in a ghillie suit.
I take that back. I would have paid money to see all the broken ankles from these guys doing a fast rope insertion. Just a giant pile of dipshits at the bottom of the rope. And you just know someone would have been knocked out cold when the helo crew cut the ropes loose at the end.
