Searching for some uniform, machine-made pursuit of "perfection" that won't even be satisfying seems very joyless to me. I'm here for the drama, the friction, the ump-working. Couldn't find the video but I remember Hawk Harrelson going on an 5min rant about the strike zone in Cle THAT'S fun baseball

Being upset different humans call different zones strikes me as the same as being upset that fields have different dimensions so a homer in Boston wouldn't be a home in Kansas City.
