Everybody calling payment processors and raising a stink about this, you're doing amazing, and I'm proud of you.

I'm too Anxiety ridden to do it myself so anyone who sees this and is making phone calls as a stink. Sincerely thank you, I don't want to see all the beautiful hard work of others stripped away because of someone finding it 'icky'.
I just hope it's not all smoke and mirrors.
Holy shit, they got Stripe on the back foot. Fuck yes.
Jesus Christ, of Nazareth, was demonstratably hands on with his disapproval of money lenders and processors.
Interestingly, Jesus has no recorded encounters with money lenders. That change in detail in the Christian imagination is due to medieval antisemitism.
and of course they're blaming the reps.
I tried, they started requesting my account number before continuing. I started suggesting I take all my business to Discover. And ask for a supervisor. They forward me to the bank rather than the processor after a hold.
I've tried to let it be known I appreciate the good relationship I have with that bank... but the processor is preventing me from using their services. So far lots of "we understand" and no promises in any way. I'm out of time to work on this. I have to pivot this energy to insurance claims soon.
Please, don't be proud of me though. This is literally the least I could be doing.
Lets gooo! Just remember to keep holding them accountable before this happens *again*. (Because it will, mark my words)
Support people don't randomly decide to make policy. Whilst the PR team may be in damage control, this shows intent. I'm moving my provider after my current event because of this.
Goes to show you we don't need to listen to the sanctimonious bleeding heart libs telling us not to bother the poor customer service reps
