So you actually can do that as a commander. So whats interesting is if you choose to leave spot in the yard and let his ability happen you still get the option to replacement effect him to the command zone and that should stoll give you thr cards back if you choose.
Oh, right, because it's a reaction not a replacement now. I should have remembered that! Hmm. Not sure if it's very good, but I guess exiling something from your gy to get back later while you exile something of an opponents is a neat option.
Oh, no, that'd be the worst use of it, because you have to give both of neither back. I think it's still best to use it on opponents stuff, but it'd be fun to find an application of using it on your own stuff that's worth it.
Yeah generally speaking your likely just gonna be exiling your opponents stuff forever but its nice to have the option to buy your own stuff back if you are in a pinch
