Because Olympiacos remains the club he is most actively involved with, and in his home country. He ran them first, and they had already qualified for the CL. When Forest looked like they would too? He acted. Ultimately it became irrelevant because Forest choked in the final month of the season.

It was more of a rhetorical question but I agree with the points. He acted yes - past the deadline.

But this is the key difference. UEFAs rules require it. While the deadline had passed, ahead of breaking them the owner and the club contacted UEFA and were in doing so were given a short extension allowing them to comply. This likely could also have happened with Palace. But 100% did not.

Blind trust is a loophole to circumvent the rules however - so there is little legally we could have done with the guilty party actively trying to sell said shares. Parish got the PR and legal narrative completely wrong which has made it easier for others in this situation.

He did. And he still seems to be feeding this false narrative that both Palace have never been part of a multi club holdings company and that Forest are directly responsible for Palace getting caught. Neither are true. You can call it a loophole. But it is the legally viable option here.

Ultimately, sporting merit and achievement no longer counts for anything in the game anymore and if anyone is pleased with that then I would strongly question whether football is the sport for them. Our biggest rivals Brighton had the chance to further challenge the courts against us...yet didn't.

It really is as simple as: * As rules was higher to ball EPL clubs. * Palace broke these rules. * They were told the 7th placed EPL team would replace them. Is it sporting? Not greatly. Could Palace have avoided it? With planning 100%. Only the club can answer why they chose not to.

That is based on your point of view and a lot of assumptions, with no understanding of the shareholding structure and voting rights of the club. As you are continuing to make assumptions and again prefer courtrooms over football on the pitch, we conclude. I hope you enjoy your next legal drama.

* Bizarre autocorrect typos there. ‘All rules changes were sent to all EPL clubs’.

If the last couple of weeks of the season has been different it wouldn’t have been Forest to benefit. It could have been Villa. It could have been Brighton. But it would have had absolutely no bearing on Palace’s fate. Pretending other clubs were in any way to blame is simply not true.

UEFA had accepted our position in the EL initially until it was challenged... And we were the first club Textor bought shares in - so the MCO was not through our choosing. There's more nuance to "neither are true" with this case which is my point. Alas that is lost on many...

John Textor of course has admitted he knew. And was aware of the problem as he watched the FA Cup final. But to say UEFA were not investigating Palace until challenged? That’s not true. It’s been reported that UEFA contacted the club to warn them they were breaching rules. This was ignored.

Textor is the only one who could have acted and he features in the banner. And the song. We sing the same about him as we do about Marinakis.

I figured as much, with the clown nose at the back. But to be brutally honest the bulk of Forest fans are utterly bewildered as to why the club is being dragged into this. Forest have done nothing wrong. We benefit. But if the last few games had been different it would have been Villa or Brighton.

Forest are a great club with great fans. But the owner is being dragged into it as he wrote to UEFA. No other club did. He’s had more dealings with Textor clubs than palace. And now they are in a MCO link up too. You can see why palace fans think the whole thing stinks.

But it’s still based on a falsehood. The budgets of the EL and ECL are very different. Forest are desperate not to fall foul of PSR again. Transfers were being lined up, but couldn’t be completed until after your appeal was settled. Huge delay. Forest only ever wrote to get a deadline date.

Most of the subs on Forest’s bench couldn’t be added in preseason. Talks were ongoing. But until the club knew which competition we were going to be in they couldn’t be completed. You can’t be dobbinh somebody in, when you’re writing to ask when the investigation they are already under will end.

The club went out there and spoke to UEFA after the FA Cup so they were not ignored. It seems you value courtroom football and politics over the sport on the pitch so that's where this conversation ends unfortunately. Have a good Bank Holiday!

Forest never ‘challenged’ anything. Almost two weeks after reports of Palace being investigated it was reported that Forest had asked UEFA when the deadline for a decision was. They’ve been caught for FFP before. The budgets for EL and ECL are very different. Transfer were being lined up.

Figures within Crystal Palace have tried to insinuate that this legitimate contact was donning them in. In truth they already knew they would likely be demoted.

If we are to believe what has been reported UEFA contacted all EPL clubs explaining the rules change last season, and later contacted Palace individually to warn them that they faced breaking them. Palace either ignored that contact or chose not to respond. They took no action of any kind.
