I think, as much as they try to make it about management and markets, Dynasties have always been built on getting and keeping singular generational talent. which is why teams that do what Dallas just did are the stupidest of all, IMO.
Yes we must highlight every day how stupid Dallas is. Having a top-5 player still offers a gem the best chance at an ongoing dynasty.

Top 5 and only 26 YEARS OLD. Jordan didn’t even win his first ‘Chip until he was 27. Just so unfathomably stupid. The fact they lucked into Flagg after that decision is hard evidence that all notions of cosmic justice are, at best, entirely subjective.
