I'm 100% on team nuisance... I get the "cultural heritage" of racing on this site, but appropriate land use in 1904 is NOT the same as appropriate land use here in 2025 given all the real challenges this city face Tear it down, put up a plaque, and replace it with homes and parks
It’s ridiculous. Nobody actually cares about the history of that dump. My dad used to attend races there as a child. He loved it but recognizes it’s not the 1950’s. The residential population has increased and this is no longer an appropriate use for that land. Full stop.
historically the site hosted the state fair. now the state fair is held in wilson county. where there is also a huge fucking racetrack right next to an interstate highway 🤔🤔🤔
