A week of some change in the West Midlands local government scene. This week will see the Hednesford Green Heath by-election for Cannock Chase DC. Candidates are Con/Grn/Ind/Lab/Rfm/TUSC and UKIP. The county division the ward is in went Reform in May 1 / 3
There are three pending by-elections although not have yet been formally called. Birmingham MBC, Moseley due to the sad death of Cllr Kerry Jenkins last week. Walsall MBC, Pelsall due to the impending resignation of Cllr Gary Perry and Warwick DC, Leamington Clarendon due to a resignation. 2 /3
Three councillors on Warwick DC have gone from Labour to Independent. One on Coventry MBC, Cllr Grace Lewis (Weetwood) has also gone from Lab to Ind and said she will be joining "You Party". One Labour councillor on Wolverhampton MBC has had the whip suspended because of an investigation. 3/3
