also I am all for encouraging you to make art especially because it makes you happy. Here I am working on photos from the PNW/worldcon trip and it makes me happy to create art. That's a solid reason to do it.

I've thought about that...would I even want to be a professional photographer, and the answer is, no. It's a hobby, it's a passionate hobby. But not a career.
