Oh I quite like that explanation! Certainly solves for the awkward Yoshi/Toad problem, even tho I don't think we've ever seen another of her species

we have tho! in mario 2 the pink one is the first one you fight; and the others are different colors! same for in mario kart 8 deluxe having alt colors for her like yoshi!
