I know this is a pretty luke warm take, but imho, One Piece is simply a better manga than anime.

take so tepid it's unclear what would happen if you splashed it on ranma The anime has some really, really great sequences. But it also commits every crime an adaptatiom can commit in terms of pacing. Welcome to the team.

Agreed. I've been joking with my friends that if you're reading it and you miss the anime experience, you can always wait for the next 2 page spread of luffy or zoro doing some move and flip the 3 or 4 pages leading to it like 20 times
