I would have been more than happy for the post Saddam period to have peace, I might have felt a bit stupid for being wrong but that would have passed and I would have been happy that a nightmare was avoided. I took NO joy in being right and I hoped I would be wrong.
During the Kosovo war I was worried the the Serbian forces were conducting much higher killing that they did, I was disgusted by the 7,000-9,000 killed but I was relieved that more people were not killed, that a genocide was avoided. I just wanted to see the war end, and evil brought to justice
