I would just delete the post and correct it. Five years from now you will be consumed by regret if you don't.

No, Cause you can see I deleted stuff but won;t know what. That is far more damaging then reading a post with a typo.

A person cannot be legal or illegal, but their immigration status can be documented (which means they're here legally) or undocumented (which means they're here illegally). But there is no grammatically correct way to say "an illegal" because the word "Illegal" is an adjective, not a noun.

@Danielle, would this be the moment to delete as you suggested to me earlier?

Your dehumanizing statement used "illegal" as a noun. If "illegal" is being used as a noun (e.g., referring to a person who entered a country illegally), then whether to use "a" or "an" depends on pronunciation, not meaning or part of speech. Correct: "an illegal" Incorrect: "a illegal"

Awesome how we r discussing English, while it's totally off topic. In the end I don't care about this at all. I could look it up myself on the internet. But I won't. My English is not that bad that people can't read it at all. I managed to coop all my life in many languages :) Thx for the lessons.

Yet it seems like everybody knows what they meant. :) Also, who's to say it's not just the slip of a translator? I honestly know nothing about the Dutch language.😅
