I don’t want Iran to have nukes. I don’t want Israel to have nukes. Not China. Not Russia. Not India. Not Pakistan. Not even our country U.S. No one should have the power to wipe out millions in seconds. Nuclear weapons aren’t strength, they’re humanity’s shame.

That day is over. The lesson learned by Ukraine & now being seen by the rest of the world is: if you give up your nukes on the promise of a country like the US defending your sovereignty, they may elect a Nazi to their highest position and he can demand you capitulate to another country with nukes🤷‍♂️

World existed even before nuclear weapons came into play

I agree, but the opposite will happen. The day we didn't stop Russia from invading Ukraine, was the day we started down the path of nukes being the only option for smaller countries to defend against larger countries. It's a sad state of affairs.

US/West imposed massive sanctions against Russia and isolated them diplomatically. But going directly in war against Russia could have been more disastrous imo

We didn't have to go directly to war. We should've given Ukraine what they actually needed, when they needed it, instead of dragging our feet forever. In my opinion, going head to head with Russia, would've ended this immediately, but we didn't have the courage, so here we are.

I agree, but if one country has them and another doesn't, then the country without will be forced to live under a constant threat. It's none or all, I'm afraid.

That's why all countries should be signing NPT and giving up their programs if already acquired.

No one is signing the NPT and giving up their programs. Russia and the US killed nuclear nonprofiliferation when they broke the Budapest Memorandum. Then the US launched extra nuclear proliferation when they told allies they were on their own.

As much as I agree with you in everything unfortunately after watching the Ukraine-Russia war, I don't think any country is giving up their nukes anytime soon. Like someone has mentioned already in the comments, the country that doesn't have nukes is living under constant fear. Entire world too.

Just remember that the only country that has used nukes against others is the USA. USA is the real problem of the world.
