Usually Food Trucks are self owned. So I dont think it applies to them
I didn’t say tips are begging. I’m saying workers are forced into relying on tips (sometimes forcefully asking for it) because they’re paid unlivable base wages. No one should have to depend on the generosity of strangers just to survive. The system is broken

As a big believer in free markets, I don’t support all of Zohran’s policies/rhetoric. You don’t have to agree 100% with any candidate. But what other real options do New Yorkers have? NYC should give him a chance. If his ideas can improve life for the average New Yorker, that’s a win for all of us.

Majority of people don’t care about labels like socialism or capitalism. They want food on table, a roof over their head, healthcare when they’re sick, good education for their kids, fair wages, clean air/water & a real shot at life, not a world where few billionaires control all the wealth & power.

I fully support teaching kids tolerance and the fact that some have same-sex parents. But pride parades and flags and this whole LBGTQ culture go beyond that. Kids are too young to be learning about this. That was my whole point. Maybe i should have better worded my tweet

I like to speak my mind and say what I think is right no matter how controversial it may be. And yes, kids don’t have a choice. They learn whatever you teach them, so ‘push’ is the right word. I don’t think it’s age appropriate for kids to learn about pride parades, pride flags etc at an early age

Sex is a reality too, but we don’t teach detailed sex education in kindergarten. Recognizing reality doesn’t mean every topic is suitable at every age. It’s about timing, not denial.
The issue isn’t about straight vs. gay. it's about age appropriateness across the board
I know there’s no formal curriculum, but that doesn’t mean these topics aren’t introduced in other ways

I agree that representation is fine and no one should hide who they are. My concern is more about how early and how often these topics come up. Inclusion is important, but so is age-appropriateness and parental involvement.
I’m a proud liberal who supports LGBTQ rights, but I don’t believe these topics should be pushed in school curriculums for young kids. Let’s keep early education focused on core subjects and let parents lead on sensitive issues.
