If a teacher is reading LQBTQ themed storybook to the kids, do the children have a choice?

Do they have a choice to opt out of heterosexual-themed storybooks?

If a child is being bullied because they have 2 mothers or 2 fathers, and no one is allowed to talk about that (because it isn't "age appropriate"), does that child have a choice?

thats a good point. but you really think educating kids about LGBTQ and pride flags etc will eliminate all bullying?

There isn't any way to eliminate ALL the bullying, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't talk to kids about trying to understand and be kind to others who may be different from them, for whatever reason. Or maybe we shouldn't talk about Muslims either? Role models are important for children.

Not sure that's the whole point though. It's about teaching kids about tolerance and acceptance - the opposite of which and the MAGA default position is woeful ignorance and stupidity. Which is of course what Republicans want and need - more stupid ignorant people. Hw else can they ever get elected?

Do they have a 'choice' to learn math?? To understand history and geography? It's not about the 'choice' of the kid, it's a matter that revolves primarily around the fundamentalist based homophobia and narrow minded bigotry of their parents - who want their kids to be as ugly a bigot as they are.
