One of the things that I loved to write in the Doppelganger Queen was Korzha's sword. It was based off of the Mary Rose Basket Hilt, with some added tweaks: such as the spiraling unicorn hilt and the finger loop so he could throw it. I wanted a sword that speaks of a time that is pre-rapier
but well past the typical longswords with a broad blade. This transitional piece of the sword evolution feels appropriate to Korzha living in exile. He had to leave behind some parts of his military upbringing in Toska and adapt to a more agile form of engagement with the rebels. #booktube
