No Aga, so not an error we will make but I suspect we might have tried that if in possession of one. I'll note that to pass on as advice to others. My learning for the day! Did you Bbcue direct to coals or in foil?

Have experimented with both methods. Foil is more forgiving of neglect, and avoids the need to remove the ash & inevitable charred bits. But there’s something endearingly primeval about cooking directly on glowing embers.
