The gate in the picture was always locked whilst I was there with all children going out and in via an entrance further up towards Ruskin Park. That entrance led down steps and there were outside toilets at the bottom of those steps! Thanks again
Those houses opposite next to the big corner house (which appeared on Under the Hammer a while back!) are new. There was a block of flats that had frontage on Milkwood Road and Lowden Road. They were occupied by active army employees
