their hands were tied as the VAs were on strike from July '24, but they could have planned things out before that for sure... and it wasn't like they were much better for the prev. games (though a little bit), but then again they could have done plenty of *other* marketing and didn't do that either

The strike is a valid point though. To me EA (even BioWare itself) has never been the most top notch at community engagement. They relied heavily like most developers on events like E3 and later PAX, while Larian and Supergiant are constantly in touch with fans in some capacity.

the VAs, though - they've only been able to talk about it for a few weeks, but the window has kind of passed, sadly... I still hope they get to talk about it some time!

they sure haven't, though it used to be a bit better - the DA community does seem to be pretty toxic in many ways, devs were bullied off the OG bioware forums, then twitter, then here... after how they were treated by EA *and* fans it's no wonder they aren't lining up to engage.

Oof that sucks. I had no idea they were getting harassed like that by fans. Gamers can truly be the worst.
