I really enjoyed Murderbot for what it is: bubblegum sci-fi basically aimed right at Gen X's cynicism. Sower. I was all in on the front half. Felt kinda sloggy for me in the back half.

Have to agree on Sower. I kept expecting exciting things to happen and instead, plot sort of unfolded in that mid-century sci-fi way that feels so inevitable. Still, the momentum of the first half kept me rolling to the end.
Funny how Murderbot is such a contrasting work. Light, fast, very endearing characters, playful….
