How can you be sure it is the view of their constituents? Or even the majority of their constituents? Genuine question.
The thing they voted against has polled as absolutely wildly unpopular with around 70%+ opposition around the country, so while there may be other reasons it would be fair to say just based on that, unless they specifically represent the >30% that don't care.
