Every aspect of normalcy is collapsing due to the neglect of institutions. But in regards to the democratic base, while their common needs were addressed, niche needs required systemic repairs easily blocked by politicians resistant to change. Unaddressed: George Floyd, Gaza, 1st Responders, etc

That's the exact opposite of the message we've been getting from the left. They've been "down with weaponized Black identity politics" and "what's good for the white working class is good for everybody".

Message is one thing; delivering is another. And Democrats have rarely ever been good with the Message. Obama 2008 delivered the message. Recently, Bernie/AOC delivered it on tour, but even then, who joined them? Right-leaning Democrats crapped on them. Mamdani delivered it and faced (D) skepticism.

I'm a Black liberal. I'm not a "right leaning Democrat". And yes, I crapped on Sanders' and AOC's left-populism. Socially and racially, I'm considerably further to the *actual* left than they are.

The "message" you're talking about isn't directed to me, it's designed to appeal to people who hold me in disdain. Black America isn't going to martyr itself for the alleged "common good".

I heard Roland Martin today. He pointed out that black politicians are being targeted by the GOP. So we are looking at a re-institution of Jim Crow and slavery. He didn't mention slavery but it's already here.

That's why moderates won't cut it. Every group needs to be vigorously and vocally championed within the party without relying on the GOP. There's a lot of work to do. A lot of partisan cooperation required. No Manchins; no Sinemas. Authentic representatives.

Sorry, I missed your prior post. "The message" is simply something that actually resonates with people. It's not the only message. I agree that there has been too much compromise, ceding ground and losing credibility because groups are thrown under the bus.
