I don't see most Americans as enemies, Jeffries included. I think he is the torch bearer of a dying political movement that has a demographic that is largely out of touch with the experience of normal people, and certainly with the populist elements of the electorate. He is an ineffective ally.

Oh gosh. The fascists who understand that they're fascists, maybe the fascists who don't, but I think they're persuadable.

I didn't say quite that. People who are fascists and don't realize it are potentially persuadable. People often fall into political movements for shallow reasons unrelated to their actual convictions. I think there are Trump supporters who would not consider themselves fascist even though he is.

Infighting isn't a thing. There's being PRIVILEGED and settling while letting marginalized people be destroyed, or there's working to make things better, which includes holding your politicians accountable.

I don’t know. All I know is what history teaches us. The US has been a divided nation for decades. It’s a cesspit of hate. I’ve been there many times. Now it’s 1,000 times worse because of Trump. You have to cure the “worse” before you cure the rest! Europe is so much better. No guns! Less racism!

Cutting the "worse" by going back to the same milquetoast policies that allowed the worst to get elected and run unchecked TWICE isn't the win you and others think it is.

Pelosi should have never sat the republicans who were part of Jan 6. Biden should have expanded the court. Dems should have removed justices who under oath said that Roe was settled and then ruled to overturn it. (Granted Dems should have codified Roe LONG ago.)
