I mean, think about it. The cats we usually take in often aren’t kittens. They may be juvenile cats, they may be adult cats. And what is it we do to them? We baby them and coo at them and we snuggle them and treat them like our own… … Have I been envious this whole time?

That's genuinely what I do to goblins in the story I write 😄 "Being adopted by an alien creature that sees us as pamperable pets" is also a huge button for me.
