The starfish plant (Orbea variegata) bloomed. Truly stunning flower. I did NOT tell the kids to smell it, that was their doing. I just showed it to them. 🪴🌱

Funnily enough, every one of them made a disgusted face, but the next one still took a big whiff. They're either adventurous or a bit slow. Or maybe both?

I don't think they're rare, but I don't remember where I got it. They're easy to grow if you have enough light for succulents/cacti and appropriate substrate.

How old was it before it flowered?

It flowered for the first time last year and we planted it during the pandemic. So I guess maybe 2 years from planting?
