Eventually, all AI models will be equal. The winners in this race will be who can run these models most efficiently. Less energy, water, and capital is the key.
For what? I am waiting for the utility for them to appear. We have a solution looking for a problem currently.
They've already run out of material to train AI models on.. it's an ever decreasing pool of knowledge. AI training AI.
