I agree, I was just thinking, to have that much money to spend and lose to a guy who is openly a Nazi.

Yeah IKR. And then they go on the offense & blame people like me who voted for her, donated $ and volunteered. I'm disgusted. And I'm from SC so when Biden put Harrison as the DNC chair I thought omg he wants to lose. I KNEW he would do a poor job. I know some ppl who told me how much more work
the RNC put in & it was clear that one of the probs was just lack of effort. Reps started campaigning in Jan 2021. When the DNC started 3.5 years later, they'd already lost. Trump did 95 rallies just in 2024. Biden barely talked to anyone. The voter reg #s Reps got were SO much higher,. basic stuff
And of course cancelling the primary
๐ฏ The lack of self reflection and accountability from the Dems is incredible. They blame pro-Palestine people like me (I still voted for Kamala) and claim we cost her the election. If they truly believe that, then maybe they should ask themselves why they antagonized their own voters.
My friends from other countries were like incredulous about the lack of a post-mortem analysis even, much less an apology. And yes the no primary. We voted for the candidate the senile guy foisted on us & still no apology for losing.
Yep and I notices how they tried to put the onus on voters even before the election. I could not "vote harder." And it wasn't me who made all the bad decisions or hired ppl like Donilon, Plouffe, West, Rodriguez, etc. It is like they didn't understand the assignment at all. Liz Cheney omg
And not only that, they accuse voters of staying home of helping elect Trump. Itโs debatable but I would instead focus on wooing these people and it further antagonizing. The hubris of the party is amazing, they talk about attracting swing voters all while not even being able to win your own voters
It is amazing about the hubris. There was so much wrong I barely know where to start. I didn't want Biden in the 1st place but I voted for him & actually thought it was ok for 1st 2 years but couldn't believe when he announced he'd run again & Newsom etc were too intimidated to challenge him.
since they want to blame ppl like us - I could have given them some tips: hold a normal vigorous primary & get a customer-supported candidate and ffs do NOT take Ambien before a debate w/ Trump (& don't give ppl like Donilon $4M ($4M more if Biden won). The staff drove this disaster for personal $.
Even just hearing people out could have made all the difference... and very likely would have, regardless whether any "efforts" there would have actually led to any real change. And even if a President Harris had just kept on, same as Joe, Dems def wouldn't be getting as much shit as any are now.
I canโt pinpoint what it is. Are people like Schumer and Booker so surrounded by the donor class that they really think voters want more of the same or do they truly know but ignore it
My guess is the first thing. Also a lot of money from AIPAC etc. has had an effect surely. Did you know the AIPAC-receiving pols all have their own handler assigned to them checking in on a regular basis? To make sure they're all good & voting properly. How is that not illegal?
I know, right?!??
