We’ll all be crossing our fingers hoping we don’t get another Hicks & Gillett shit show but … nothing we can do about that. I suspect FSG are committed for a few more years but John Henry is not a young man. His health and welfare is probably the biggest threat to #LFC ownership.

It doesn’t matter who buy them. Whoever it is has to make at least a return justifying billions in purchase price. So a yield of at least 10% a year. That is if they have the funds. They might just borrow £5 billion to buy the club. It will make the Man U debt look small fry.

It does matter who buys. Your point is valid but all #LFC supporters will be hoping for something closer to FSG than H&G. You’re right that there will be no bargains next time, it’ll cost a bomb. We have no influence (never did) and can only hope for the “least worst” kind of ownership.

Ultimately given the sums involved “good” ownership just delays the inevitable impact on the pitch. Unless some billionaire equivalent of owners of old (local fans of the club) appears a lot of the Premier league is stuffed.
