He’s ambitious … no way he stays at Palace long term. He “may” sign a new contract with a big pay rise and a release clause … just to secure a bigger fee for them. However, why would he do that? #LFC
Indeed, we might not and that shouldn’t really be a surprise given the huge turnover of players. However, this squad is being assembled for next season and the 3 or 4 years after that. There will be disappointment (probably anger) if we’re trophy less this season, but have patience. #LFC
They will have to work it out in matches though … games come thick and fast after the international break. It will be a transitional season but what emerges should last for 5-6 years with only occasional tweaks. #LFC

It does matter who buys. Your point is valid but all #LFC supporters will be hoping for something closer to FSG than H&G. You’re right that there will be no bargains next time, it’ll cost a bomb. We have no influence (never did) and can only hope for the “least worst” kind of ownership.
We’ll all be crossing our fingers hoping we don’t get another Hicks & Gillett shit show but … nothing we can do about that. I suspect FSG are committed for a few more years but John Henry is not a young man. His health and welfare is probably the biggest threat to #LFC ownership.

Fair … I think we’re now very high up in the hierarchy of destination club (below Madrid, level with City (the lure of Pep and £££)). It will always vary according to individual players (Barca still comes into play for Spanish speaking players).
