Some states caucus rather than primary. The delegates to the convention take the advice of the results but can opt to put their votes behind a different candidate if they choose. Not every party even hold primaries. Only the two largest because it's easier to make a good call

That doesn't change the fact that primaries are an election. And even the smaller parties that don't participate in primaries, have some for of elections. The libertarians, for example, have an election at their conventions. The Dems didn't even do that in 2024. This should be disturbing. But...

...But, it isn't. this is an erosion of elections and voting rights. I'm not sure how anyone can see this differently.
