You’d be horrified at Isak’s before he went to Newcastle, then.
I looked at FB ref , Isak had one bad season at Real S, his average in la liga was 0.16, which isn't too bad is it ? Same as Kane at Spurs Isak and Haaland in England 0.2 Salah for us is 0.15 nunez for us 0.11 Ekitike in Germany 0.13
Percentages look much worse for everyone. Usually they say 15-20% is the average for good strikers in conversion. From what I saw, in his final season at Sociedad, Isak was at 11%. He had 3 seasons where he played over 30 league games, & one where he broke over 10 goals.
You’re always there to talk me down off the ledge, my little optimist! (Genuinely looking forward to the season, bittersweet as it’ll be, but don’t know if my sanity can handle watching another Liverpool forward banjo it onto the Kop from a foot out time and time again. Poor Darwin scarred me!)
If he’s playing in a possession dominant team, he has options all around him for passes, & has the ability & vision to play the passes, too. He won’t need to play the one man attack role or take loads of silly shots. He will still need to improve for us, but who doesn’t at just turned 23?
He doesn’t do anything like that 😂 He’s actually good at finishing the tap ins from 8 yards. His main problem is he takes many long shots or shots from improbable angles. They’re low Xg but add up. But, that’s part of the tactical setup from Frankfurt. He’s usually alone. They counter with him point
