House was supposed to have been ready March 1. Moved in August 26 with it still unfinished and a vow that it would all be done end of this week. The latest update is that they won’t even be starting until end of next week, and will take 3-4 weeks. At best. I’m really f**kin tired of being lied to.

Not enjoying some of the guff I'm seeing from us today. The arrogance of "How DARE someone get in the way of a player coming to us when his current club desperately need him", or the judgmental side of "Well, I'm glad he's not coming because he wrote on his armband and therefore a total scumbag."
Weird behaviour. Half baying for Guehi and ripping into Palace for not releasing him, the other half saying good riddance and thank feck he's not coming because he's religious. Either way, if we'd let a key player leave without a replacement, we'd be losing it, so get where CPFC are coming from.
The only way this window gets any better is if Liverpool somehow manage to sign Wissa from Brentford, purely for the absolute lols.

Yep, although probably a used F750GS. At 5’6 my options in this segment are fairly limited. I do laugh though that a 500lb 800cc bike is now an entry level small bike these days!

I never ride without all the gear, a pact I made with my wife before she let me throw a leg over a bike all those years ago. There have been days - especially there when I was in full gear in 40C - where I was SLIGHTLY tempted to leave a BIT off, but never have, my need to get home safe outweighs it
I'll never forget it, can absolutely still see it in my mind. Remember a cop noticed me and came over and asked if I was ok and if I knew the victim. Could only shake my head I couldn't speak. Was just horrific. This kid had friends. Family. They were never going to see him again. It was... stupid.
Years ago in CA, a kid on a GSX650 went screaming past me on 101 north, through San Rafael. Same (lack of) gear as the man below. About 20 mins up the road, traffic came to a halt. Filtered to the front, where police had closed the hwy. Bits of GSX fairing. Saw the red streak. Ending in a sheet.

The hilarity is that its all digital and automated. I did the canceling of the time myself, and the lecture was about putting the team under pressure by being out. “Er, I’ve gone from being out 6 days to 2.”
Had 6 days off work booked off for summer hols, but thanks to the house dragging on had to cancel it. Told the HR wonk I had canceled the days but would need to likely take 2 of them off for walkthrough/signing. Was then given a 15 minute lecture on how I was letting down the team. Hate this place.

Ah balls. Other option would be move to Germany for a month, exchange your license there, then exchange that for an Irish one. (Only found that out recently!)

Yup. Did the theory test ages ago, and FINALLY starting the training classes tomorrow. After those I can ride, but required to wear a hi-viz vest o' shame with a giant L on it, and not allowed on motorways (Irish interstates). Current wait time for the test is about 6-8 months with a ~50% pass rate!
A move back to Ireland, where I have no bike and my US license isn't recognized meaning I need to go through the whole licensing saga that takes ~18 months and costing over a grand, including multiple full days of mandatory basic training. 🤬
Did the same, had a BMW F650GS for roads and gravel, but the DR came out for anything else. Until I was foolishly convinced that a Triumph Tiger could do the work of both, so I sold both. (And sold the Tiger six months later!)

I know we're champions and excited about the new players coming in, but have to admit I'm a little bit worried about how all emphasis at the moment seems to be on attack without addressing the leaky silly goals we were coughing up last year that saw plenty of matches start out on the back foot.
Finally got my #motorcycle gear out of storage last night. STUNNED to discover that *EVERY* jacket and pants shrank over the last three years. ALL OF THEM! Think I might have to have yet another huge plate of chips for dinner tonight to console myself while I try and figure out *HOW* this happened.

For the most part I love being home. But I am really really really REALLY getting SICK TO DEATH of Ireland's overall attitude of "errah, we'll get it sorted eventually, no rush." Just constant delays for EVERYTHING.
Was supposed to have finished my IBT today, which would have allowed me to get back on a bike. But for the third time, my instructor canceled on me. Been trying to get this done for four months, and at this point the riding season will be gone by the time its done and I sort a bike. #motosky #rant

We’re likely losing Nunez, and heartbreakingly we lost Jota. We could very well lose Diaz as well. Club is likely waiting to see how that goes. If Darwin goes to Saudi for our asking price, we’ll go for it.
Being a dad to a 10 year old is often times great fun. Finished the Lego, though.
After over 2 weeks away the girls are back from a trip to the US. Delighted to have them home. Took the day off to spend with my daughter playing Mario Kart and building Lego. Alas the Lego building lasted about four minutes before she declared boredom pulled out her ipad, haven't seen her since.
I mean, I suppose? But its also a fairly innocuous way of getting to know someone and hopefully forming a connection. I mean, I wouldn’t see it as any different than asking someone about film, music, or books?

Yep. We had our plans, but I don't think any of them involved what happened, and now its all out the window. Likely Darwin & Harvey were being moved on, but now who knows? Does the club get a "transfer insurance" payout? How does it effect PSR? No clue as you say, and glad the decisions aren't mine.
Was watching the match earlier with a buddy (not a Liverpool fan) and he asked the question I think some of us are thinking but absolutely none of us want to vocalise. "Who do you think you'll buy to replace Jota?" And while my immediate reply to him was "Nobody can!!!" it did get me thinking.
