He's a devout christian, so wrote "Jesus loves you" on the rainbow armband. Rumours that he didn't want to wear it because of his beliefs, so that was his form of protest, but... end of the day, no different than the mad Brazilian religious fellas we've had baptising each other in swimming pools?

It’s completely different. He chose to do it ONLY when asked to wear the rainbow armband, so it was a statement related to that. No issue with religion. Definite issue with intolerance, which this 100% was. There is no other reason for him to write in then and only then.

He agreed to wear the armband, but wrote - what he felt - was a message of inclusivity on it. Compare that to the Ipswich captain who flat out refused to wear it. FA had a go at Guehi about it, but ignored the Ipswich captain. (FWIW I'm pretty much anti all organised religion)

You can both discuss this without me involved, please. I have no interest in it 👍🏻

Honestly, I’m past caring about it. As you say, we have Ali, Ibou, & Mo, who very probably take the same approach where their religion is concerned, but they’ve never been in the position where they’ve been asked to wear the rainbow armband, thankfully. But, people will ignore that.
