The Great Depression began under President Hoover and continued into FDR’s second term. It was only overcome by a boatload of deficit spending and government programs.

Thank you! I couldn't remember if it was Hoover or Harding. I knew that FDR came into office during the depression. I just couldn't remember whose presidency it started under. And to think I actually watched a documentary on FDR a few weeks ago. Been a long few weeks.
