My only real complaint though is Ashley’s character. I know she’s a day one launch character intended to be a classic soap heroine but she’s not landing. She’s whiny, indecisive and a chemistry black hole. The fact that Shanice gets more fan reaction than her speaks volumes. #BeyondTheGates
I always saw Derek as bland when he was with Ashley, but it's a completely different vibe with Shanice. Those two have sparks. Not too hard to draw conclusions on why that is.
I saw Derek in something else and he had much more personality and he definitely comes alive with Shanice. I really feel like Shanice and Ashley should switch places. Andre and Derek crashing out over Shanice would make so much more sense. Let Ashley be the background support character.
