sorry for being snarky but your stats on foreigners read to me as a disingenuous attempt to rebut that point. Everybody that lives here knows that the vast majority of 'foreigners' are actually born here and look asian. 'seeing lots of foreigners everywhere' is the Sanseito mindset and to be fought
To be sure the vast majority of foreign residents are Asian. OTOH it’s pretty easy to clock a non-Japanese name or accent. At any rate don’t disagree with you and you make a good point
When I said I saw foreigners, I meant examples like the cleaning staff speaking Hindi to each other, and a staff member stocking shelves at 7-11 who said he was from Pakistan. You’re right that I didn’t ask all of the non-Japanese ppl I saw where they were born. But that’s a bit forward, isn’t it?
