If you didn’t know any of was because your circle of friends was either too small or you didn’t create a safe space for those people to confide in you.

You are attempting to make accommodations for a generous 10% of the population upon the majority 90% of the population ? You seem to be reasonably. It this seem fair ? Why not create separate baths, showers, and athletics for the Transgender community? My circle of friends are diverse culturally.
