But despite her being a nurse and their dad being a doctor, Syd just never seemed to get the mental health treatment he needed. Sorry, nothing PF or any member did after Animals does anything for me at all.

His dad (who he apparently adored) died when he was 16 and his mom was encouraging of his music from a young age (as was Water's mom who was his Jr High music teacher) but I guess in those days ( & sadly these days), some ppl don't want to see mental health issues. His whole story is just wrenching.
