Picked up a nice copy of that LP at the Spitalfield Market in East London a few years back. It’s before they were an album band per se, but it’s still really good.

Love grilled peaches, and that ice cream sounds delicious. Last night I grilled some halibut and some pineapple for fish tacos. Watermelon is good (lightly) grilled too, as are figs.

My wife is a superb cook and baker; my culinary skills are kind of limited to raw meat and fire. Well, I grill fruits and veggies too.
The ink had barely dried on the label of that album and the NME ranked it something like the 6th best album of all time. But it did live up to the hype.

This is Pepper, she loves when I play piano and sometimes joins me to create pieces for 6 hands 🤣 When I play sax she’s interested but she can’t play it, so she prefers the piano.
I play keyboards and woodwinds, been spending most of my time lately playing sax and composing (BA in Music Comp). I suck at string instruments because I only know how to play right handed instruments left handed, in other words, upside down and backwards.
She did have her liberal arts student Joy Division/Smiths era, and in school she played clarinet, from 4th grade to senior year of college. I told her she could use my bassoon if she wanted to try another instrument, but wasn’t interested. Bought her a ukulele and it’s still in our house.
Oh that sucks. I’m a few too many generations removed to get Irish citizenship. So if we ever have grandchildren, they’ll be English, that’s the best we can do.

Her school, Goldsmiths College, is where 3/4 of Blur were students, we saw the room in the student union where they played their first gig. Malcolm McLaren was a student there too.
No, she was getting an art history MA at Goldsmiths College to start her expat life, she met an English lad while doing a study abroad and they’ve been married since 2019. She likes Blur, but Syd and John Cale mean nothing to her.
And one more Syd story; my daughter’s first apartment after she flew from the nest was in South London a short walk from Camberwell College of Arts, Syd’s alma mater (she was attending John Cale’s and Blur’s alma mater). After Syd died, his family set up a scholarship fund at Camberwell.

But despite her being a nurse and their dad being a doctor, Syd just never seemed to get the mental health treatment he needed. Sorry, nothing PF or any member did after Animals does anything for me at all.
Gilmour did regularly check in with Syd’s sister to make sure he was getting his royalty checks, but apparently Syd would get very upset discussing his past, so he never went to see him. His sister was extremely protective of his privacy.

No idea who the narrator is, and there are several bad one (Ram, Chevy, Jeep). The voices fit the content, put it that way, they sound like voices you’d hear saying something like “ha, that’s all you can bench?”
That’s the worst one, but there’s another (maybe Jeep) that literally says it’s the most patriotic. Then Chevy says “there’s a reason it’s called the heartbeat of Murica.” No, that’s just your lame marketing slogan. Nobody ever says that.
Well, they know their customers I suppose.
Commercials for pickup trucks are now entirely pushing how hardass, testosterone fueled, redneck and patriotic they are. Overpriced? Poorly built piece of unreliable crap? Ugly design? Perhaps, but look at all that far right patriarchal flag-waving!
The phrase “thinks he can” should replace the word “to” if you actually wanted to make this accurate.
