I knew Rorschach was originally The Question, and Nite-Owl was... I'm not sure, Dr. Midnite?

Blue Beetle.
Oh, damn of course, even the ships are almost the same.
So presumably Doctor Manhattan was Captain Atom then, if it was all Charleston characters? But I just had no idea at all that Comedian was Peacemaker. I didn't even know he WAS a Charleston comics character.
Okay yeah Captain Atom was originally the atomic character in Watchmen.
Wait so who was Ozymandias going to be?

Oh that sounds VERY loose from what I'm just reading, maybe Moore hadn't gotten as far as working out why Thunderbolt would do a heel turn before he was forced to turn him into Ozymandias. I would 1000% buy a redo of Watchmen as a DC Elseworlds using the Charleston characters.
In Grant Morrison’s Multiversity series, there’s a one issue story called Pax Americana which unites all the original Charlton Watchmen counterparts in a story which isn’t entirely unlike Watchmen. It’s good! Frank Quitely does the art. dc.fandom.com/wiki/The_Mul...
Oh wow, never read this. I adore Grant. Gonna track this down. Thanks Eddie, you always tell me the best comic book stuff!
Ahh cheers, chief. I still consider myself a real neophyte, but I’m also a big Grant fan! Honestly the Multiversity is worth picking up as a collection. Separate stories but threads woven through them.
Booster Gold. (I don't know)
