It sounds like you're in a much better situation than I was. In my case the decision was political and ignored the input the math team had already provided the previous year. Looping can be really fun because you already know the kids. You're gonna have a great year.

I don't know if I have good or helpful advice. 😂 I remember reasoning that if admin was willing to treat me this way then I needed to prioritize myself. I was much more protective of my time outside school hours and more willing to use sick leave that year if I needed it.
